Long overdue update ft storm Eowyn
It's all inside, on the day after Éowyn blew through at 90mph+. Who, what, where, when, how and why. We're sharing this update for friends and family, colleagues, clients and peers (plus all the lovely humans who found us and just fancy joining us for the ride)!
There's an important description on this one, I'll add it below:
*Important context* ⬇️⬇️⬇️
A week or so ago on IG Dan had to deal with an odd individual who had gripes about not receiving a farm update for so long. The back and forth turned increasingly snappy, and ended badly. The individual in question doesn't know us, we do not know them, yet because they enjoyed some videos, they felt they were entitled to regular updates. That's not how this works. It's hard to understand because we see people online and think in some strange way we "own" them, but that's not true, nobody online owes you, or us, anything. This channel is not a priority item on our to-do list, as the vast majority of eyeballs on this right now will fully understand. It upset me to see how much this situation upset Dan at a time when I was away from home, which brings me to a completely separate point...
We're honestly this close 🤌 to deleting the profiles online for the farm, as the impact of actions from strangers we've never met continues to affect our (very real) lives – Please don't make up random rumours or theories about us, our home, or our animals and then share them online (and offline locally!).
We can't fight those fires when we're already slammed with everything else. No, Dan's not left me, no, we've not gone bankrupt and lost the farm, yes, we do have perfectly safe drinking water here, yes, we're still very much working on the project, and yes, if you invent things like this then you probably could use your time more productively 🫣
For all the wonderful people, if we **poof** and vanish, we're all good, but we've just run out of patience - that's all!
