Updates.
We upped sticks and moved hours away from home (and we’re not the best at keeping up to date with social communication either), so for friends and family, clients, colleagues and peers, we began documenting the project and sharing updates on a platform we know well, YouTube.
The algorithm really likes to throw our videos out to negative nellys at times, and we don’t have the spare energy for that drama right now, so taking a mini break was the best option which also allowed Jess to catch up on work. Since then, she’s been slammed, so the updates are kept as written ones each month.
Therefore, this space here exists to bridge the gap. Enjoy the good, the bad and the ugly. This is a very real mammoth renovation project – it’s a marathon, not a sprint.

Getting the farm Horse-Ready
We needed to house 3 horses: A 10-year-old spaniard, a weanling, and a flighty-in-the-stable unbacked 3-year-old. They were arriving on October 16th. The race was on (amongst everything else we were doing at the farm), and the budget was TIGHT.
April 2025 Monthly Update
April was a HUGE month as the last of the rooms in the cottage had its renovation. This was a big one though, because technically it was also the worst room. Strange how something can flip so fast from worst to best, but it wasn’t easy! Read more inside…
March 2025 Monthly Update
March contained a total mixture of “stuff” here, from the farmhouse getting naked to carpets, panelling and a delivery of beds. The cottage kitchen started to be ripped out, but really March was overshadowed by a huge loss for us. It’s all in here.
